Owning Means Believing In God’s Care

ree

In Jesus’ Sermon in Ownership, He wanted us to know something. There is a strong benefit to ownership of our faith! It is the benefit of knowing God‘s provision and loving care!

Jesus taught us that God is sovereignly caring for the minor creatures, and that means that the major ones, namely us, are within His nurture as well.

God loves us. And with that love comes the fringe benefit of His provision.

Jesus was trying to drive home the point that God is trustworthy! And He was assuring us of His involvement in our everyday needs.

This passage comes with an exclamation point!

It also comes with a condition.

We must become first rate owners, seeking first His kingdom in our lives.

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭6:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

“Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’”

‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭6:30-31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

As owners of our faith, we become recipients of the blessing of the peace of God’s provision.

Are you resting in His care today?
